Dear Residents, Families, and Friends,

As the COVID-19 Pandemic evolves, it is our utmost goal to keep our residents and staff safe and healthy. It is to this goal that we have decided to LIMIT visitors, vendors, and volunteers to those essential services only. We ask that you contact the building where your loved one resides to determine whether your visit is essential.

The Centers for Medicaid and Medicare Services has defined limiting as “not allowing any non-essential visitors into the facility except for certain scenarios such as end of life when the visitor is essential to the resident’s emotional well being and care.” We have not come to this decision lightly, as we are aware of the importance and benefits of visits, but it is most important factor is to maintain the health and safety of those we care for at Byron Center Manor. This virus has proven to be the most severe amongst the elder population who have chronic conditions (such as Diabetes, Congestive heart failure, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Chronic Kidney Disease, Cancer, etc…) which had led us to this decision.

Byron Center Manor will continue to communicate with all further updates as this pandemic evolves.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to call Julie Huth at 616-277-5423.

Thank you so much for your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

Julie Huth, Administrator
