The Facility

Our Assisted Living neighborhood provides a sense of home for our residents with private rooms and common areas. Residents can enjoy their independence with the assistance of our nurturing staff members, who treat our residents like family.

Room Options

Assisted Living residents can choose from 207 or 295 square foot floor plans, giving them a cozy space to make their own. Each room has either a private or shared bathroom depending on the floor plan. The space is also cable-ready with Wifi. If you’re interested in filling out a resident application, please click here.

Frequently Asked Questions

May I have a car at BCM?

There is free parking available or carport space available for rent, and residents with a valid driver’s license may have their cars here.

Are residents free to come and go as they please?

Residents in independent living may come and go as they please, however we ask that residents in assisted living leave with family or approved friends for outings.

Are residents allowed to have guests for meals?

Yes, though we do require notice a day in advance.

Are the fees for staying at BCM covered by my health insurance?

While some portion of our costs may be covered by long-term care insurance programs, we recommend checking with your specific policy.

Does BCM participate with Medicaid Waiver program?

Yes. We work with Area Agency on Aging of West Michigan and Reliance Community Care Partners.

Does BCM offer skilled nursing services?

No. Our Assisted Living neighborhood is a licensed Adult Foster Care facility.

Does BCM offer respite care?

Yes. We do offer respite care in our licensed areas. There is a 10-day minimum stay and it is subject to availability at time of request.

Is there a long-term commitment?

No. Residents may give a 30-day notice to terminate their residency at any time.

May residents bring their own furnishings?

Rooms are partially furnished.  Residents are welcome to bring furniture from home along with favorite wall hangings and décor.  We do not allow painting, wallpapering or other changes to permanent features in any of our areas.


Residents in Assisted Living are encouraged to keep doing the things they love, all with the help of our professional caregivers. Assisted Living residents are provided with the following services:

Regular assistance with daily needs, including dressing, grooming, and bathroom assistance
24/7 emergency care
3 healthy, homemade meals per day
Laundry service
Transportation to medical appointments


Our Assisted Living residents are welcome to join in community activities where they can have fun and make friends. Our activities are always changing and growing to accommodate our residents’ wide range of interests. Some activities our assisted living residents enjoy include:
